Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
- 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of real butter (2 sticks)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups of chocolate chips (semi-sweet are best)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Combine the all purpose flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl.
Cream the butter, both sugars and the vanilla extract with an electric mixer. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg.
Add the flour mixture gradually until the dough is well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Using a tablespoon, scoop dough onto a non-stick cookie sheet to form cookies.
Bake for approximately 10 minutes and allow cookies to cool on a wire rack or paper towels for another 2 minutes before serving.
