Easy Fudge Recipe
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
Grease a 9 inch square pan with butter and set aside.
In a large saucepan, combine evaporated milk, butter, sugars and cocoa powder.
Stir constantly while cooking over medium heat. Cook until sugars dissolve and
the mixture comes to a boil.
Place a candy thermometer in the mixture, and allow the mixture to boil for 10
minutes. The fudge should reach the "soft ball" stage of 234-240 degrees. Do not
allow thermometer to reach more than 240 degrees.
Remove from the heat and add flour and vanilla. Mix thoroughly with a wood
spoon of mixer.
Pour the fudge into the prepared pan and cut into 1 1/2 inch squares immediately.
Allow the fudge to set up completely before serving.
