Easter Treats for Kids - Easter Peeps!

Ingredients: Directions:

Spray a 9-inch square pan with cooking spray and dust with a generous layer of powdered sugar. In an electric mixing bowl, soak the gelatin in 1/2 cup cold of water and set the bowl aside.

Combine the granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of water, salt and corn syrup in a large saucepan. Cover and cook over medium heat until the sugar is devolved.

Uncover and clip a candy thermometer on the pan. Cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes. When the mixture reaches 240 degree, immediately remove it from the heat.

While the mixer is running, slowly pour the mixture into the mixing bowl with the gelatin. Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is soft and has doubled in size, about 15 minutes. Add the vanilla during the last few minutes.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan to about 1/2 inch thickness. Sprinkle the colored granulated sugar over the top. Allow the marshmallow to set at least 4 hours or overnight.

Dust a bunny shaped cookie cutter with powdered sugar and gently cut the marshmallows. Enjoy these Easter treats for kids ... that are an adult's favorite too!
