Chocolate Truffle Recipe
This chocolate truffle recipe is heaven sent. It's easy to make and delicious. With
so many different truffle topping choices, the possibilities or virtually endless!
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup cream liqueur
- coating for the truffles: coconut, grated chocolate, powdered sugar,
- cocoa powder, nuts, or whatever you like
Combine the butter, cream, and sugar in a heavy saucepan and cook over
medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Add the chocolate pieces and stir until they dissolve completely. Add the liqueur
and stir to combine completely.
Chill the mixture in the refrigerator overnight.
Use a teaspoon to scoop out enough truffle mixture to shape the balls and roll in
one of the coatings.
