chicken Taco Recipe
This chicken taco recipe is across between tacos and fajitas.
While it's recommended to use an outdoor grill, the chicken could also be placed in a cast iron skillet and baked.
For the juicier chicken tacos select chicken thighs for this recipe.
Chicken Taco Recipe
- 1 pound of boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 taco seasoning packet recipe or store bought taco seasoning packet
- 12 taco shells
- Toppings: guacamole recipe, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, black olives, onions, shredded lettuce.
Preheat the outdoor grill to 400 degrees. Brush the chicken breasts or thighs with melted butter and sprinkle both sides with taco seasoning.
Grill the chicken turning once for about 20 minutes, or until done. Remove the chicken and allow to cool enough to handle. Then place the
chicken on a cutting board and shred it with a knife creating small pieces.
