Best Apple Pie Recipe
- 2 pie crusts
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 7 cups green apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl and
toss in the apple slices and coat them well.
Heap the apples into a pastry lined pie pan and dot with butter.
Use a second pie crust to cover the top and cut excess dough from the edges of
the pie pan. Pinch the edges of the two pie crusts together using your thumb or a
fork to create a decorative effect.
Make slits in the top of the pie with a knife to release the steam. Cover the edges
of the pie crust with strips of foil to prevent the edges from over browning.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow the pie to cool
