Mojito Drink Recipe

This mojito drink recipe is light, refreshing, and the perfect alcoholic mixed drink for backyard parties.

The mojito is a traditional Cuban drink. But, it's also a great choice for your Mexican fiesta themed party. It's served in a tall clear glass to show off the mint and lime wedges.

Recipe for Mojitos

Ingredients:

• 2 ounces light rum
• Juice of one lime
• 2 teaspoons of powdered sugar (or simple syrup)
• 5 sprigs of mint
• Soda water
• Lemon or lime slice for garnish

Muddle the mint and sugar into the bottom of a cocktail shaker. If you don't have powdered sugar or simple syrup, regular sugar will work.

Some people prefer to do this in the glass the mojito will be served in and to leave the muddled mint in the glass.

Add crushed ice, lime juice, and rum. Shake well. Strain into a tall glass and top off with soda water. Add a spring of mint and a lime wedge for garnish.
